Can you drink on a hired bus or coach?

Whether you can drink on a privately hired coach depends on the operator’s individual policy. It depends entirely on whether the driver allows it. Speak to us prior to your journey to find out whether you can drink on your privately hired bus or coach.

Can you get 76 seater coaches?

You can get 76 seat coaches for large groups of people. 76 seats is generally the max capacity for large coaches and double deckers, any party above this may need two separate coaches or a coach and a minibus.

How many seats does a bus or coach have?

The seating capacity of a bus or coach typically ranges from 30 to 100 seats, depending on the type and size of each vehicle. Standard single-deck coaches usually seat between 30 and 70 passengers, while double-decker coaches can accommodate up to 100 passengers. If you wish to transport less than 20 people, a minibus may be your best choice, or a midi-coach if you’re transporting between 20 and 30.

Does your coaches have toilets?

Most of our coaches have toilets as they are designed to make the passenger as comfortable as possible. As well as this, many coaches have TVs, music systems, comfortable seats with lots of legroom and wheelchair access, all to make your journey as easy as possible. If you require a coach with toilets please request this when booking.

Are seat belts compulsory on coaches?

If there is a seat belt in the coach or bus, it is compulsory that you wear it. The law requires you to wear a seatbelt if there is one fitted to the coach seat. Since October 1st, 2001, any new bus is required to have seat belts fitted in any forward or rearward facing seats, this includes coaches. The only exception to the rule are buses that are used for short, urban journeys where people may have to stand.

How much does it cost to hire a minibus?

The cost of hiring a minibus really depends on a few things, like how far you’re travelling, the size of the minibus you need, and whether you want any extras.
